Goose
first
picked
up
the
bass
when
he
was
15
years
old.
Driven
by
bands
like
Kiss
,
Led
Zeppelin,
Rush
and
The
Who
picking
the
bass
Goose
claims
would
make
it
easy
to
find
people
to
play
with
as
nobody
ever
wanted
to
play
bass.
The
then
just
starting
out
Goose
and
Mike
"Mee-Shka"
Wattie
hooked
up
when
they
were
16
years
old
due
to
a
mutual
saxaphone
playing
friend.
When
they
discovered
that
they
had
more
in
common
with
each
other
than
the
saxophonist
who
wanted
to
play
the
solo
for
Crazy
Train
(a
really
bad
idea!).
The
two
disbanded
and
started
playing
the
more
bone
crushing
style
of
metal
that
went
on
to
become
Montreal's
legendary
Reactor.
Recording
and
live
gigs
helped
them
to
hone
their
chops
and
gain
much
experience.

Eventually
Reactor
disbanded
and
Goose
and
Mike
went
on
to
form
the
Seattle
Junkheads,
(a
Nirvana
tribute
band),
with
ex

future
AGENDA
The
Rock
Band's
amplification
and
electronics
guru,
Dave
Galea
also
doing
vocals
for
the
project.
Eventually
the
band
decided
to
call
it
quits
following
the
death
of
Curt
Cobain.
Dave
later
was
a
founding
member
of
Cryptopsy.
In
1994,
Goose
and
Mike
would
go
on
to
join
Suicide
Tribe,
who
were
runners
up
for
Esprit
'93
(a
Montreal
music
contest).
Suicide
Tribe
soon
became
S.Tribe
and
before
they
knew
it
they
were
off
to
Europe
in
favor
of
its
greener
than
Montreal
music
scene
pastures.
Goose
spent
much
time
playing
with
other
bands
as
well
doing
everything
from
Rock
to
Reggae
to
Metal
than
back
again.
Eventual
homesickness
brought
Goose
back
to
Montreal
in
1996
as
by
this
time
S.
Tribe
had
fallen
apart.
Upon
returning
to
Montreal,
Goose
wasted
no
time
hooking
up
once
again
with
Mee-shka
and
Dave
Galea
to
form
Potion
7,
A
hard
and
heavy
Rock
unit
which
used
to
double
bill
with
Samsara.
Mee-Shka
leaves
to
join
B-9,
enter
Jerry
Lecker
on
drums.
This
is
where
Goose
first
met
Todd
Pronovost.
Goose
remembers:
"Our
first
double
bill
we
did
together
was
at
a
place
called
the
Jailhouse,
Which
doesn't
exist
anymore
unfortunately.
Samsara
was
up
2nd
that
night.
I
was
hanging
in
the
back
with
Dave
when
Todd
hit
the
stage
like
a
fuckin'
hurricane.
We
were
just
totally
blown
away
by
this
young
upstart's
confidence
and
stage
presence.
During
the
set
I
remember
saying
to
Dave:
"There's
Potion
7's
next
singer!"
A
few
months
later
Todd
replaced
Potion
7's
original
vocalist
after
Samsara
was
disbanded.
Eventually
Todd
left
Potion
7
and
moved
to
Rouyn-Noranda,
then
to
British
Columbia.
Meanwhile
Potion
7
fizzled
out
and
Goose
was
once
again
a
man
with
no
band.
Rekindling
his
friendship
with
former
Reactor
singer/guitarist
Mike
"Cee"
Cerminara,
the
two
began
to
woodshed
in
Goose's
studio
coming
up
for
the
songs
required
for
his
next
and
current
project:
Stereo
Reverend.
This
project
marks
the
first
time
Goose's
brother
Greg
Cormack,
who
sits
at
drum
throne,
and
Goose
would
collaborate
together.
Stereo
Reverend
is
a
3
piece
hard
rock
sonic
assault
in
the
tradition
of
bands
that
Mike
Cee
and
Goose
grew
up
on
like
Kiss,
Motorhead
and
Judas
Priest.
Stereo
Reverend's
first
release
is
due
out
shortly
so
stay
tuned
for
more
music
and
where
you
can
see
them
play.
By
this
time
Todd
had
already
returned
from
B.C.
chomping
at
the
bit
to
find
some
players
and
get
the
rock
out.
Eventually
Goose
hooked
Todd
up
with
Mishka
who
together
started
finding
more
people.
Goose
already
playing
and
producing
for
Stereo
Reverend
decides
only
to
stay
on
board
with
AGENDA
The
Rock
Band
as
their
producer.
Eventually
Joel
Marinier
would
have
to
leave
the
band
for
personal
reasons.
Enter
Goose
on
bass
as
he
continues
to
produce
for
the
band.
"I
guess
joining
was
the
next
logical
step.
I
mean
the
guys
rehearse
at
my
house.
I
already
pretty
much
knew
all
the
tunes
because
I
would
hear
them
every
jam
plus
I
was
recording
them
and
I
had
kept
my
chops
up
with
Stereo
Reverend."
Goose
would
also
like
to
produce
more
in
the
future.
